Microautophagy

A type of autophagy in which the cytoplasmic entities, such as parts of CELL NUCLEI; damaged MITOCHONDRIA; and lipid droplets, are taken up by small vesicles such as VACUOLES or MULTIVESICULAR BODIES, and degraded by lysosomal digestion.
