A chronic functional disorder with vertigo, dizziness and unsteadiness triggered by vestibular episode and psychological stress. Unlike in BENIGN PAROXYSMAL POSITIONAL VERTIGO, the otoliths on the OTOLITHIC MEMBRANE are not involved in pathology of persistent postural-perceptual dizziness.
