Structured Summary
Abstract
A cytoskeletal protein and PROTEIN-TYROSINE KINASE substrate that links cytoskeletal structures to the PLASMA MEMBRANE. In EPITHELIAL CELLS, it is essential for the formation of MICROVILLI and membrane ruffles on the apical pole and is also required for macropinocytosis (see PINOCYTOSIS) along with the GUANINE NUCLEOTIDE EXCHANGE FACTOR PLEKHG6.
